How is this different from a document management system?
A document store keeps files. Chaperone knows what should be in them, and what should exist at all.
It knows which documents an operation should hold, reads and checks the ones that arrive, and raises what is missing, due to lapse, or failing its rule. Nothing in a folder announces its own absence, so Chaperone works from what should be there. It runs on top of the store you already use.
Can it track suppliers and contractors as well as our own documents?

How does data work?
